Look at Property Investing as a Business Owner
There was an article that caught my eye the other day about running a small business, and some of the important elements of having a successful enterprise.
This made me think about running your property investing as a small business.
The question asked was, “who do you rely on most in business?”. And amongst the most common aswers were ’staff’.
As a property investor you don’t have staff, but what you do have, or should have, is a reliable team of people working with you to build your property portfolio.
Another question in the same article was, “what couldn’t you do without in your business?”, and the answer was ‘attitude’.
Do you see how relevant this is to choosing your team advisors? You need people who have the right knowledge and advice, and you also need them to have the right attitude towards helping you to grow.
An advisor who is proactive and focused on helping you is going to be more committed to you as a client than someone who just plods along giving advice only when they are asked.
