Looking After Tenants At Christmas Time
Christmas time is a time of goodwill and at what better time could a landlord show a tenant that they appreciate the fact that they are looking after their properties.
There are horror stories that circulate about tenants and the way they look after properties and there have been TV specials showing the amount of damage that tenants can do.
It is very easy when, as a landlord you have a good tenant that has looked after your property well, to just forget that fact and the fact that their care has probably saved you a lot of money and a lot of heart ache.
We all know that your investment properties are meant to be treated as a ‘business’ and that emotional feelings should be left out of it, but when it is your hard earned dollars and careful planning, that have bought the property in the first place, it is hard not to have your emotions involved.
Treat your tenants as you would a good client in your business and show your appreciation as you would to your most favoured customer. Here are some ideas:
* A Christmas hamper
* A box of chocolates and a flower arrangement
* A dinner voucher
Or some other gift that you think would be appropriate.
Your gift would be so appreciated, I am sure, and your rewards would be tenfold.
