Investing In Property Security
Owning investment properties is not all about making money, but with that in mind there are many issues that can be overlooked when it comes to building wealth with property investing.
Property Investment Security
Note I am not saying secure your property as in have asset protection but making your property secure so that the tenants are living in a safe environment. House break-ins are a devastating experience for anyone and a landlord with a sense of humanity will make sure that the property is secure for tenants.
From the tenants point of view
- they need to feel safe when they are at home, especially if they are home alone
- they need to know that fire issues have been addressed if the property needs some particular fire safety
- their contents insurance premiums can be elevated if the property does not have sufficient security in the way of security doors, lockable window catches, dead bolts and so on.
Making a property secure is an expense that does not need to be repeated on a regular basis and only maintained should parts be broken.
Give tenants a fair go by making them feel safe in their home environment.
