Do Your Property Tenants Receive ‘Customer Service’
Interesting concept isn’t it? But I wonder how many property investors actually view their tenants as customers.
Often in the blogs there is reference to running property investing as a ‘business’ and taking the view of looking after tenants receive ‘customer service’ is taking that view one step further.
When was the last time you unexpectedly received something from a person that you don’t actually know that well? If you can remember I am sure you can also remember how surprised you were at the time and how it gave you a warm and fuzzy feeling. That’s what customer service is all about!
How long is it since you did anything ‘nice’ for your tenants, especially those that you have had for several years?
The cost of getting new tenants.
This blog is not about the cost of getting tenants but more about the cost of keeping good tenants!
If you have had a tenant in your property for 3 years at $420 per week rent they have paid you $65,520 in rent. WOW, isn’t that worth a bunch of flowers or a box of chocolates next time they sign the lease, or even before! I mean these tenants wouldn’t still be there if they had been trashing the place, so they must have been looking after your investment and helping it grow in equity.
Good customers, aren’t they?
