Changes To Rules For Duplex Management In Qld
Up until now any unit set up meant that changes to the day to day management of the unit complex required a formal body corporate meeting before any changes could be instigated.
Any type of unit complex, fromĀ two unit or more meant that a formal meeting had to be held, but Brian Bauer, Fair Trading Executive Director has informed that the following change has been made:
In Queensland, from the 28 February 2012, owners of a duplex complex will be able to make changes to the day to day management of duplex properties merely by a written agreement being reached between the two unit holders.
The change in the regulation means the whole management system of managing a duplex will be made a lot simpler than that used by the standard body corporate practices that are better suited to the larger complexes.
